The start of 2017 turned to be super fashionable with the recently conducted Lakme Fashion Week that saw some of best designers displaying their creations and making us amazed with their craftsmanship. From bollywood stars being the showstoppers to new designers showcasing fresh patterns and silhouettes, the fashion week was an entire package of fashion, glitz and glam.
Here’s a curated list of designers that totally had our hearts set on, let’s take a look at them:
1. GAURANG SHAH:
Tabu who rarely makes public appearances took the lakme fashion week by storm by walking for Gaurang Shah in an ivory white and gold ensemble. The showstopper looked graceful in the traditional long anarkali lehenga and walked the ramp with elan and poise.
2. AMIT GT:
Daisy Shah walked the ramp for AMIT GT and we have to say she looked like a princess. She walked with grace and poise as she walked the ramp. Wearing a gown with a unique shade of purple, the actress looked drop dead gorgeous. The flowing gown had a lot of hand work; embroidery and feather detailing that made her look like fairy tale princess.
3. AMOH BY JADE:
Swara Bhaskar of Tanu Weds Manu fame is well known for her strong performances and stylish looks on screen. Dressed in a mulberry silk wrap dress with intricate lace detailing, Swara Bhaskar walked the ramp for Amoh by jade, looking ravishing as ever! Messy bun, nude makeup and matching peep-toe pump heels simply made her look like a darling diva.
4. PAYAL SINGHAL:
Payal Singhal’s collection at the Lakme Fashion Week had silhouettes like drop waists, fringes and tassels interspersed with Indian textiles that was a good fusion of east and the west. Diana Penty of cocktail fame was the showstopper for her show. Dressed in a powder grey trousseau that had intricate embellishments running in floral motifs, indeed was a trend setter in itself.
5. DIVYA REDDY:
The ultimate fashionista, Malaika Arora Khan walked the ramp for Divya Reddy in a red yellow lehenga choli and totally rocked the look. Divya’s collection had a lot of sparkling embellishments with frill hems running over dresses, sarees, ghagras and lehengas.
