THE RICHES OF JAIPUR

Bringing in the classy ethnic silhouettes for every modern woman with a fusion twist. Promising an ethnic wardrobe makeover, the collection gives you endless possibilities that create a must-have list for the oh-so-traditional freak!

PROPER PATOLAS

Patola Print is a double ikat woven style, usually made from silk. Having its origin from Patan, Gujarat, this print started as a Saree style but today has evolved into all ethnic wear. Buy this traditional print with a modern quirk twist at KALKI Fashion Online for yourself or a loved one.

BANARASI ALL THE WAY

Banarasi Silk Sarees are classic Silk Sarees decorated with intricate craftwork ranging from the traditional Zari work (jari work), detailed embroidery, paisley motifs, mina work and heavy, detailed and usually big and broad borders. The art of weaving and finishing of Banarasi Saris is exclusive to certain parts of Uttar Pradesh (India) which have been officially recognized as the centers of their production (includes Varanasi or Banaras, Jaunpur, Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Chandoli and Azamgarh districts).

CLASSIC BANDHANI

Bandhani is a type of tie-dye textile decorated by plucking the cloth with the fingernails into many tiny bindings that form a figurative design. The term is derived from the Sanskrit verbal root bandh. It’s mainly originated from Gujrat and Rajasthan. The earliest example of the most pervasive type of Bandhani dots can be seen in the 6th century paintings depicting the life of Buddha found on the wall of Cave 1 at Ajanta. Bandhani is also known as Bandhej Saree, Bandhni, Piliya, and Chungidi in Tamil and regional dialects. Other tying techniques include Mothra, Ekdali and Shikari depending on the manner in which the cloth is tied.

You can never go wrong with a Bandhani Print style as they are ever green. be it a traditional saree or a simple kurta set, it always stands out and give you a classic look.
